PERSONAL INJURY

INJURY CLAIMS

Redferns has handled Personal Injury claims for over 50 years.

Every year Redferns successfully settle claims on behalf of our clients.

Our Personal Injury Department is made up of qualified solicitors and have a vast amount of experience between them. The head of the department is Shabana Dad who is a Solicitor and Director.

We are not claims handlers and once you instruct us, you will have direct contact with the solicitor handling your claim.

Our team has the experience, knowledge and empathy to guide you and we work closely with individuals and their families providing support and advice to suit your personal circumstances.

We will ensure that you have access to rehabilitative treatment, medical treatment and care so that you have the best opportunity to make a full recovery.

We will explain the personal injury process and steps to you clearly and in a professional, approachable manner.

If you decide to pursue a claim, our team can help you return to the financial position you were in prior to the accident and we aim to achieve the best possible award of compensation that you are entitled to.

TYPES OF PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS

• Road Traffic Accidents: if you are involved in a car accident as the driver or passenger, including cyclist and pedestrian accidents

• Accidents at Work: if you sustain an accident during the course of your employment i.e. back, head and manual handling injuries

• Accidents in Public Places: if you suffer an accident as a result of a slip/trip or fall in a public place for example whilst shopping

• Accidents abroad

• Industrial diseases (including hearing loss and respiratory problems)

• Asbestos related diseases (including mesothelioma)

• Accidents whilst attending premises as a visitor

• Claims relating to faulty or defective goods

FEES

We deal with most claims under a ‘No Win, No Fee’ basis also known as a Conditional Fee Agreement.

This means that you do not have to worry about paying our legal costs upfront as you do not have to pay out of your own pocket.

If your claim is unsuccessful then you do not usually bear any financial risk.

We will be happy to discuss the basis of the ‘no win, no fee’ agreement in further detail and we clearly explain the fee structure from the outset.

HOW MUCH COMPENSATION?

This is a question we get asked frequently and it is dependent on the type of claim you have, and the injuries sustained. No two claims are identical, and the impact of the same injury or illness will vary between individuals.

Our personal injury solicitors are experienced in accurately valuing claims based on your particular circumstances. At Redferns we understand each claim is unique to the individual with their own set of personal circumstances and we will ensure you get the compensation you deserve.

Your claim for compensation will usually include losses for pain and suffering known as ‘general damages’ and also a separate head for ‘special damages’ which includes financial losses such as loss of earnings, costs of medicine, treatment and travel expenses.

Our team of personal injury solicitors have extensive experience in accurately valuing claims based on your injuries and the circumstances of your accident to ensure that you are fairly compensated and that you get the maximum award you are entitled to.

You normally have three years from the date of your accident to bring a claim for personal injury. There are exceptions to the three-year rule – and if you think you might have a claim, please do not hesitate to contact Shabana on 02084247070.
